Our curriculum is provided as a guideline for JYL coaches of youth players 5-10 years of age. We also have many drills/activities on our web site that will assist coaches in the goal of providing the best possible experience for the kids and to help players develop.

It must be understood that players mature at different rates. Age determines to a certain degree what players are physically, mentally and socially capable of on the soccer field. Some players will be capable of more complex skills and thought processes than others as they develop, but it is up to the individual coach to know and understand their players introducing more advanced aspects of the game as it becomes appropriate. It is vital to practice and master the basics in order for players to continue participation at older age groups and to enjoy their experience. Kids want to get better because improving is fun!
