Our on field performance is as important as our character and behavior off the field. The following are the Jamestown Soccer Club (JSC) guidelines and rules/regulations that must be adhered to. Players may be sent home at parent’s additional expense if they violate serious behavior rules related to drugs, drinking, illegal activities, tobacco products or having members of the opposite sex in rooms at any time. Please not these are examples and other events may fall call for a similar consequence.
JSC GEAR
All members of the JSC are expected to cooperate with current/future sponsors in a reasonable fashion as requested. When traveling JSC players must make sure that their uniform and all accessories, including warm-ups and equipment bags, are compliant with club policies. The minimal standard dress code while traveling will be no cut off’s, no hats, clothes shall “fit”; nothing too tight or nothing to loose, no holes or tears in the clothing shall be present. Disrespectful slogans, political statements, disrespectful wording or statements shall not be displayed on the being. Other club programs or third party providers “gear” shall not be permitted at any time when representing the JSC.
A higher standard may be established by the Head Coach when desired. At no time will the Head Coach set a lesser standard then set forth in the Rules and Regulations.
We ask that you support the club’s primary apparel and equipment provider, Adidas, by using Adidas shoes, balls, shin guards and other products whenever possible. Players wearing Select uniforms are requested to purchase Adidas accessories when doing so.
BEHAVIOR/DECORUM
All participants are expected to be polite, positive, well-mannered, cooperative, good sports, respectful and considerate of everyone they encounter when traveling. Rooms and the vans must be kept clean.
ROOM REQUIREMENTS & CURFEW
At no time will anyone of the opposite gender be allowed in each others rooms. Players are expected to stay in their assigned room or with parents/guardians. The Head Coach will determine a team curfew. The Club recommended curfew is no later than 10:30 pm in the time zone you are currently staying for any age group.
TRAVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
The players are expected to travel, stay and adhere to the team’s itinerary for the entire event. The entire event is classified as when the player arrives at the home airport/hotel and when the player returns to the baggage claim at the home airport or at the end of the participating tournament. Exceptions may be granted and determined by the Head Coach.
There are times when players may be without direct adult supervision. When this happens, an adult will be expected to know where you are and when you will be back. At the same time, it is always your responsibility to
a) Know how to find one of the adults
b) To know when and where you are expected to be next
c) To be on time. When you are without adult supervision, you will always use the “Rule of Three” - at least three players together.
